Counselling services

The Equal Opportunities and Diversity Office provides advice and support on topics such as work-life balance (including family and care responsibilities), experiences of discrimination and sexualised violence.

Counselling is open to students and employees as well as decentralised equal opportunities officers and university-related stakeholders.

Counselling is always based on the concerns of the person seeking advice and is confidential, anonymously if desired. The starting point of every counselling session is the direct support of the person in their respective situation.

Counselling is committed to equal opportunities and protection against discrimination and aims to empower those seeking advice. The understanding of counselling is based on the diversity strategy of the University of Göttingen.
