After finishing her A-levels, Anne Wiese has absolved an apprenticeship at Peek & Cloppenburg in Hildesheim and worked as a campsite representative in Italy. She started her Bachelor studies in Economics at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in the winter term 2003/2004. From 2006 on, she studied Marketing and Channel Management in the Master program. The title of her Master thesis was “The ECR Concept in Scientific Research – a Meta-analysis of Previous Studies”.
In addition to her studies, Anne Wiese absolved an internship in the marketing department of “Blaupunkt” in summer 2005 and another internship at the business consultancy Dr. Lademann & Partner in summer 2007. From September 2006 until September 2008, she worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Retailing.
From October 2008 to February 2014 Anne Wiese was employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Retailing. Her research focusses on sustainability in the retail context (CSR, organic products, shopping processes) and in supply chains.
In August 2013, Dr. Wiese successfully defended her doctoral thesis with the title: "Sustainability in Retailing - Environmental Effects of Transport Processes, Shopping Trips and Related Consumer Behaviour".
