The chair was founded in 2007. Research focuses on international trade, outsourcing and associated effects on the labour market. Additionally, the DFG (German Research Foundation) provides funds for a project about the subjective perception of globalisation and the individual fear of job loss. You can find details on recent projects and a list of publications on our website under research.
Courses focus on applied econometrics and international economics. Every winter term we offer a postgraduate course including a computer tutorial and a seminar for Bachelor students. During summer term we offer a seminar for Master students and a graduate course on international economics.
In addition, Microeconomics I is taught in the winter term 2010/11 and Micoreconomics II in the summer term.
