Library and Sound Archive

The library of the Department of Musicology is a reference library. Only weekend loans are possible, from Friday at 11.00 am till Monday at 10.00 am. Closing time on Friday is 12 am.

The library of the Department of Musicology comprises approx. 23.000 volumes, sheet music and musicological journals. We provide access to the music editing software Capella for students. It is possible to borrow recording devices for sound recording work (further information on "Service"). Please ask the library staff!



Opening hours during term time:

  • Monday - Thursday 09:30 - 18:00
  • Friday 10:00 - 12:00




Current notices will be displayed.

Weekend loan can only be processed during regular opening hours.
