The Department Ecoinformatics, Biometrics and Forest Growth coordinates the Master Programme "Forest Ecosystem Analysis and Information Processing".

As one of the five Master Programmes at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology, the programme "Forest Ecosystem Analysis and Information Processing" (WI) teaches:

• Current knowledge of forest and other ecosystems.


• Modern methods for analysis and modelling of these systems as well as their regulation within an economic and political context.


Especially important are



• Methods in information processing, and


• The use of mathematical statistical processes.
