Evaluation of the events of the Göttingen International Handel Festival 2007

Project management: Prof. Dr. Heiko Faust, Dipl.-Geogr. Thomas Wieland
Project period: March to September 2007

Project objectives:
The Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen GmbH annually arranges the Göttingen International Handel Festival. The Department of Human Geography conducted postal interviews of the members of the Göttinger Händel Gesellschaft e.V. and face-to-face visitor interviews on behalf of the Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen GmbH. The objectives of these interviews were to evaluate events, which took place in the city of Göttingen, including the opera, and to identify the needs and wishes of members and visitors to be able to detect potential improvements.

The vistor interviews were conducted by students of a seminar for applied Geography during the summer term 2007 (Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Heiko Faust, Tutors: Dipl.-Geogr. Thomas Wieland, Mario Zimmermann).
