Ecumenism in orthodox perspective: Adrian Lemeni in Göttingen

Between the 12 and 18 May, Prof. Dr. Adrian Lemeni (Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Bucharest) was visiting the Department of Ecumenical Theology and Oriental Church and Mission History in Göttingen.

Prof. Dr. Adrian Lemeni was State Secretary for Religious Affairs for the Romanian government between 2005 and 2007 and between 2009 and 2012. From 2007 to 2009, he was deputy for Religious Affairs of the Romanian Prime Minister.

He held two guest lectures on the developments in the inter-confessional dialogue ("Ecclesial Witness of the World and Church Unity in the Globalized Society" and "Religious Identity and Interreligious Dialogue in International and Romanian Context").
Furthermore, he met doctorands of the Department of Ecumenical Theology and Oriental Church and Mission History and Romanian visiting students. He praised the successful cooperation between Prof. Dr. Martin Tamcke and the Faculty in Bucharest.

Both promised to intensify the existing contacts.
