The Faculty introduces itself

The University of Göttingen (Georg-August-Universität) was founded in 1737 in the spirit of the Enlightenment. The movement had a decisive influence also upon the Faculty of Theology which, according to the custom of the time, was the first among the faculties in Göttingen.
