The Doctoral Degree Regulations of 2002 and 2015

New Doctoral Degree Regulations of the Faculty of Humanities 2015 (in force since 01.10.2015)

  • Doctoral Degree Regulations of the Faculty of Humanities 2015 incl. 1st amendment of 2018 (Official Announcements I no 37, 2015, p. 903-964, and Off. Ann. I no 48, 2018, p. 1125-41) (.pdf)
  • All new and also - without having to specially apply for it - old doctoral processes will proceed according to these doctoral degree regulations. Doctoral candidates who were accepted before these regulations came into force, that is prior to October 2015, had the option of applying for continuation in the framework of the old doctoral degree regulations (see below) up to 30.09.2016, if they wished to complete their procedure as per those regulations. In that case however the entire examination procedure must be completed latest by 30.09.2019. Since this deadline (i.e. 30.09.2016) expired, such an application cannot be submitted any more.
    In connection with the implementation of structured doctoral degree programs at the Faculty of Humanities in the winter term 2018/19 a first amendment of the regulations entered into force.
