Jannik Scherer

Dear fellow graduates,
My name is Jannik Scherer, I am 25 years old and was born in Kassel. I have been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law, Competition and Intellectual Property Law, Media and Information Law under Professor Wiebe since March 2023. I am also doing my doctorate there on the European Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. My research activities focus in particular on the impact of European legislative acts on liability for AI systems under German law.
During my studies, I was involved in university politics at the Faculty of Law, where I was a member of the student commission and a member of the student parliament. The focus of my involvement was particularly on proposing solutions to reduce mental stress during my studies.
During my studies, I was involved in university politics at the Faculty of Law, where I was a member of the study commission and a member of the student council, among other things. My involvement focussed in particular on proposing solutions to reduce the psychological burden of studying.
In the coming year, I would like to contribute to maintaining the high quality of the GGG's course programme, but also to identify your needs and advocate for appropriate adjustments and events. Closer networking with doctoral students from other faculties is also very important to me. I would also like to help create opportunities to get in better contact with former doctoral students in order to collect suggestions, proposals and ideas for your own project.
If you have any questions, ideas, problems or suggestions, you can contact me at any time and we can have a chat over a coffee!
I'm looking forward to an exciting term of office!
Jannik Scherer
