Georges Djohy is interested in environmental and socio-technological change and adaptation in agricultural and pastoralist societies in West Africa. His current research project draws on Science and Technology Studies and Political Ecology. Precisely, he is looking at how technology and society shape each other by focusing on the use of mobile devices in FulBe communities in areas bordering W Park (Benin). Simultaneously, he investigates the role of Fulani associations in governing access to productive resources in the context of climate change. He is engaged with Social Construction of Technology and Actor Network Theory approaches.
