Energie camp 2018

To attract young students and make fundamental energy science accessible to the general public, a number of public outreach activities are realized within the CRC.

a) Hands on energy science ( Angebot für Schulen)

b) Collaboration with the XLAB (Göttinger Experimentallabor für junge Leute e.V.)

Typical activities:

The CRC participated in the Göttinger "Nacht des Wissens" with experiments to photokatalytic watersplitting and hydrogen fuel cells and also with experiments using triboelectricity to gain energy.

The CRC is organizing lectures and experiments "using solar energy to gain electricity", "water electrolysis and photocatalytic watersplitting" and "hydrogen fuel cells". In collaboration with the XLAB, e.g., the CRC participated in the XLAB chemistry camp from April 7th to April 11th, 2015.

The CRC participated in "Göttinger Woche der Wissenschaft und Jugend" in 2015 and 2016 and will also participate in 2017. It has been one of three projects presented in the image film of the Göttinger Woche der Wissenschaft und Jugend.

We performed experiments and presented explaining posters at the fair "MINT-Technik zum Anfassen" in Witzenhausen.

We organize tours to the only German INSITU Environmental transmission electrone Microscope to the general public.

A Bachelor Student built an interactive cupboard similar to the Exponneer Kiel with experiments representing the research of the CRC to be presented at fairs and exhibitions.

In 2017 was our first participation at the german Girls' Day activities.
