Excellent academic achievements and dedication

Margherita Cusmano, a PhD student in social sciences from Italy has received this year's German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) award for outstanding international students. In her thesis at Göttingen University and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, Cusmano explores how migrants in Germany perceive and judge economic inequality. Sedimentary rocks reveal ocean floor cooling

Rocks store information from long ago. For instance, their composition can reveal the environmental conditions during their formation. This makes them extremely important in climate research. Preparing for Mars Samples on Earth

Seit mehr als vier Jahren sammelt der NASA-Rover Perseverance Gesteins-, Boden- und Atmosphärenproben auf dem Mars.
