Equal opportunities in the Göttingen Graduate School of Social Sciences (GGG)

Equity between women and men at the university as well as a removal of existing discriminations based on gender and gender binarity belong to the primary objectives of the GGG as part of a university-wide strategy.
The GGG implements this aim inter alia in staff recruitment and in the allocation of funding. Here, besides scientific qualifications, the gender-competent and transparent conception of selection procedures is paid attention to.
In addition, specific measures and counselling services aim at counteracting existing obstacles to women in science and career development. Child care is supported by the GGG e.g. in cooperation with the Familie Service.
Moreover, the GGG family grant facilitates completion of the PhD alongside childcare or care for family members in a family context.
The diversity of PhD students is contributed by the concept of diversity-oriented support of PhD students.
