Welcome to the homepage of the Chair of Finance at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The Chair offers a variety of courses, ranging from introductory courses in finance to advanced courses in corporate finance, capital markets, and banking.

The main research areas are risk management and different applications of contingent claims analysis in corporate finance. Recent research projects deal with the management of exchange rate risk, the valuation of derivatives, executive compensation with stock option plans, portfolio management, and the determination of the cost of capital.
