With my research group on forest initiatives and social milieus I aim at finalizing my post-doctoral research and habilitation at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen. Recent research and/or teaching experiences I gained at the Hess State Forests, the Technical University of Munich, as Visiting Professor at the IPB Bragança and as senior researcher at the Bavarian State Institute of Forestry. I have studied forestry and wood technology at BOKU university in Vienna and received my PhD in forest sciences from Göttingen University. My background in research/teaching includes interdisciplinary forest sciences, forest and environmental policy, development/foreign policy, political networks and public policy. Research areas of interest include forest land-use policy and governance, social networks, policy instruments, social milieus, social movements and the development and implementation of forest-related initiatives in Germany, Europe and globally.

Maximilian Glormann

Maximilian Glormann, born 1993, studies of political science and sociology (M.A.) in Göttingen and Bonn. Internship at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin as well as working experiences in regional management. Great interest in social and political development processes, attitudinal and behavioural research, and forestry and conservation policy issues. I am planning to do my PhD, in the context of our current project. In my free time I enjoy several outdoor activities like cycling and hiking.

Patrick Strüber

Patrick Strüber, born in Göttingen in 1991. I have studied political science and history at the University of Erfurt and political science at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena (Bachelor's and Master's degrees in 2014 and 2017). Directly after graduating, I worked for five years as the office manager of a MP in the Lower Saxony state parliament (2017-2022). Since 2023, I am working in our current project, to develop our future forests through Sinus Milieus. In this context I am planning to do my PhD too. Privately, I am involved in various associations in my home region. I am also active in local politics. My focus is on hunting, environmental, nature conservation and forestry policy as well as press and public relations work. I hold a hunting license since 2020.
