Programme description
The programme Master of Education for a teaching profession at the Gymnasium focuses on theories, methods and projects in empirical teaching and school research. The programme is closely linked to the Central Organisation for Teacher Training (ZELB). A special aspect of this programme is therefore found in the close connection between teaching and empirically oriented research.
The programme comprises the following areas of competence and credits: 50 C in the area of educational-scientific competence development, 36 C in the area of subject-scientific / subject didactical competence development, 8 C for two specialised didactical internships in both teaching subjects, one of which may be a research internship, 6 C for the Master module and 20 C for the Master’s thesis.
The degree enables graduates to enter into the practical teaching period necessary for a teaching profession at the Gymnasium.
