Master of Education (Chemistry)
Degree programme description
The Master of Education degree programme for teaching at secondary schools places special emphasis on the theories, methods and projects of empirical teaching and school research. In the area of developing specialised and didactical competencies in the sub-subject of chemistry, the students' knowledge and skills in the two disciplines of chemistry - inorganic, organic and/or physical chemistry - acquired during the 2-subject bachelor's degree course, are intensified and expanded. Furthermore, the application of scientific methods and knowledge in chemistry classes is comprehensively taught in specialised didactics courses. Here, the design and conduct of experiments for school lessons play a special role.
