Friederike Martens, Dipl.

Rieke was a student assistant with the Euroculture Programme from September 1 until October 31, 2011.

Rieke was born and raised in Braunschweig. She studied Sociology, Social Politics and Economics at the Georg-August-Universität, Göttingen and graduated in August 2011 with her thesis entitled “Agenda 2010 as a preservation or as a replacement of the social market economy”.
Her strong interest in different international cultures is built on the experiences she had during the 13 months she spent in the U.S. and her ERASMUS semester in Sweden. An internship at an Economic Research and Political Consulting Agency in Berlin gave her the opportunity to work on a European research project about the European multiplicity in labour administration and strengthen her international and European interests.
