  • Eva Csipak will be presenting at the University of Chicago's Semantics and Philosophy of Language Workshop, to be held on Feb 17. The title of her presentation is "Simple cases of free factive subjunctives"). Eva also got a grant from Göttingen International to spend two months at the University of Chicago this coming summer. Congratulations, Eva!

  • On February 3, Magdalena Kaufmann gave an invited talk at the University of Connecticut. The title of her talk was "Questioning Imperatives".

  • On January 31, Jerra Busch and Felix Schumann presented the first results for the Project "INT: Relative Clauses and Intensionality", part of the DFG Forschergruppe 1783, "Relativsätze". The INT project is formed by Magdalena Kaufmann (Chair, Göttingen), Cécile Meier (Frankfurt), Thomas Ede Zimmermann (Frankfurt), and project members Jerra Busch (Göttingen) and Felix Schumann (Frankfurt).




Lucas Champollion at the CRC "Textstrukturen"


  • Lucas Champollion (University of Tübingen) is currently a guest of the Courant Research Centre "Textstrukturen". On February 15th, at 4 pm, he will deliver a talk on "Linguistic applications of mereology", as part of the CRC Colloquia Series. Furthermore, Lucas will give a mini lecture series on February 16th and 17th. Those interested in attending the lecture series, should drop Edgar Onea a line.
