This workshop will be hold in mainly English. Of course German questions or discussions are also welcome.

In academic practice, poster presentations are important conference contributions on a regular base. But how do you create a meaningful yet clear poster which advertises your academic work, using one of the popular PC programs? What tools and techniques are available? How does the finished poster really stand out in print and before a live audience?

The first session of the first appointment will feature the most important tools and techniques in MS PowerPoint that are commonly used to design a poster: Text frames, Forms and SmartArts, Photos, Illustrations and Diagrams, Tables, individual elements such as formulas or special characters.

The afternoon session is dedicated to the design of the posters: Typography and design fundamentals, collecting and structuring knowledge and data, rules for an effective design and a clear and well-structured poster.

The second appointment serves to further refine and complete your previously created poster or poster draft in a coaching session.
