SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am intrigued to understand the onset and progression of age-related diseases. Many of these illnesses have unknown causes. Therefore, studying aging as the main driving force for such diseases helps to uncover the mysteries. My research interests are to investigate factors that contribute to aging and seek to apply regenerative medicine such as stem cells for treatment. In particular, I am interested to learn the epigenetic changes that happen as we grow old and how it impacts our health.
