SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

The broad nature of my bachelor degree has sparked my interest in a range of topics within biology, and how these integrate. I particularly enjoy the dynamic nature of cell biology and the molecular mechanisms underlying it. An extension of these interests is their dysregulation in disease, and how broadening our understanding can have clinical applications. I look forward to further developing these interests in Göttingen, while exploring topics and techniques new to me. Ultimately, I hope that the laboratory rotations will help narrow my interests in preparation for a PhD.
