SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

The ability of cell organelles to perform intricate tasks has always impressed me. However, the organelle that really piqued my interest was the endoplasmic reticulum. I'm interested in learning more about some of its characteristics, such as its capacity for protein sorting, its capacity for carrying out quality control mechanisms, and – most importantly – its capacity for upholding proteostasis. I consider myself to be an adventurer who seeks out chances to learn and develop the knowledge that will, perhaps, enable me to find the answers to all the intriguing questions I ponder.
