SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I have worked on the functional genomics of all the ion channel genes expressed in the postnatal rat central nervous system and conducted a special project on nervous tissue engineering during my Bachelor years. Due to my enthusiasm for neuroscience and since my undergraduate studies have focused on molecular biology and biochemistry, I would like to combine these disciplines in my graduate studies to examine the molecular mechanisms underlying neural processes like learning, memory formation or neurodegenerative diseases.
