SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am aiming at connecting my future scientific investigations with processes of apoptosis and signal transduction. I am especially interested in the regulation of these processes at the molecular level, based on protein-protein interaction and post-translational modification of proteins. Moreover I wish to increase my knowledge of scientific methods, such as protein identification, in vivo visualization, and investigation of macromolecular interactions (especially protein-DNA interactions). I consider this program an excellent opportunity to deepen my knowledge in these areas of molecular biology and to obtain good experimental experience.
