SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My scientific interests revolve around understanding how neurons and tetrapartite synapses work together to orchestrate neuro-glia crosstalk and neuroplasticity, giving rise to perception and cognition. I see myself investigating questions such as synaptic transmission between neuronal subtypes, the molecular dynamics of the extracellular matrix in shaping memory engrams, and brain mapping through molecular connectomics. I aspire to apply transformative super-resolution technologies to unravel these complex processes. By joining the program, I hope to grow into a creative and innovative scientist who can shed light on the mechanisms underlying neurological diseases and contribute to their treatment.
