SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am particularly interested in how our immune system works and how the deficiencies lead to autoimmune diseases. As a young scientist, my research interests are not limited to immunology. I am fascinated by the epigenetic mechanisms underlying disease progression. Using knowledge and tools of immunology, molecular pathology, and epigenetics, I wish to contribute to the understanding of complex disease mechanisms and open possibilities for new therapeutic approaches. I am eager to learn and discover other areas of research during my education in Göttingen and broaden my horizon in the field.
