### Professors

- Fred Böker was an extraordinary professor responsible for teaching introductory mathematics and statistics courses to bachelor students until his retirement in 2013.
- Philipp Otto was a substitute professor for Spatial Data Science and Statistical Learning in the summer term 2020 and the winter term 2020/21.
- Stefan Sperlich was professor for Econometrics until 2011 when he left Göttingen to become professor for Statistics at University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland.
- Walter Zucchini was professor for Statistics until his retirement in 2011.

### PhD students & Postdocs

- Daniel Adler was a PhD student in the statistics group under supervision of Walter Zuchini and completed his PhD in 2012. He later also worked part time as a postdoc in the statistics group.
- Anne Berner was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2017 to 2022.
- Manuel Carlan was a PhD student and postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 to 2021
- Franziska Dorn was a PhD student and postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 until 2022 when she moved to University of Duisburg-Essen as a postdoc.
- Nina Gerber was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2021 to 2022, working on OERs for Statistics in Ecology
- Andreas Groll was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 to 2017. In 2017 he moved to TU Dortmund for a junior professorship for Data Analysis and Statistical Algorithms which was lately tenured to an assistant professorship in Statistical Methods for Big Data.
- Julien Hambuckers was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 to 2018. In 2018 he moved to HEC Liège for a professorship in Finance.
- Rouven Haschka was a PhD student and postdoc in the econometrics group from 2016 to 2020
- Julia Hillmann was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2011 to 2012 when she decided to move completely to neurosciences where she completed her PhD in 2015.
- Maike Hohberg was a PhD student and postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 until 2022 when she moved to Department of Medical Statistics at the University Medical Centre Göttingen as a postdoc.
- Barbora Kessel was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2019 to 2020 when she moved to the Johann Heinrich von Thünen-Institut, Braunschweig.
- Nadja Klein was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2012 to 2014. Afterwards, she worked as a postdoc in the statistics group, spent two years in Melbourne with Michael S. Smith as a Feodor Lynen fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and then moved to University of Cologne for a junior professorship in Econometrics in 2018. Later in 2018 she moved to HU Berlin for a junior professorship in Applied Statistics.
- Alexander Lange was a PhD student in the econometrics group until 2022.
- Jana Lasser was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2019 to 2020 when she moved to the Complexity Science Hub
- Juliane Manitz was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2011 to 2014 and then continued to work there as a postdoc. In 2016, she moved to Boston University for a Feodor Lynen fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation with Eric D. Kolaczyk as local host.
- Isa Marques was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2017 to 2020. After a postdoc period in the statistics group, she joined the professorship for Spatial Data Science and Statistical Learning in 2021 (also as a postdoc).
- Simone Maxand was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2012 to 2017. After a postdoc period in Göttingen, she moved to the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, for a postdoc position.
- Miryam Sarah Merk was a PhD student and postdoc in the statistics group as a part of CRC 990
- Patrick Michaelis was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2014 to 2017. In 2018 he started working as a postdoc at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.
- Oleg Nenadic was a postdoc in the statistics group until 2015.
- Peter Pütz was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2013 to 2019. After a short postdoc period in Göttingen, he moved to Bielefeld University as a postdoc.
- Malte Rengel was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2012 to 2015.
- Benjamin Säfken was a PhD student in the statistics group as a part of RTG 1644 Scaling Problems in Statistics from 2012 to 2015. After working in an insurace company for some time, he returned to the working group as a postdoc in statistics, coordinator of the Centre for Statistics and, since 2021, as head of the junior research group on Computational Statistics and Data Science. In 2022 he left Göttingen to become a Professor in Data Science and Applied Statistics at TU Clausthal.
- Bruno Santos was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2018 to 2019 when he moved to University of Vitória, Vitória, Brazil as a professor in Statistics.
- Katharina Schley was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2013 to 2018.
- Rouven Schmidt was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2018 to 2022.
- Holger Sennhenn-Reulen was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2012 to 2015. He is now working as a postdoc at Northwest German Forest Research Institute (NW-FVA), Göttingen.
- Fabian Sobotka was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2012 to 2014. He is now working as a postdoc at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg.
- Elmar Spiegel was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2014 to 2017. After a postdoc period in Göttingen, he moved to HelmholtzZentrum München as a postdoc.

- Danielle Maria Barna was visiting Göttingen from March to May 2022 as a PhD student (under supervision of Þórdís Þórarinsdóttir, Norwegian Computing Centre, Oslo).
- Muriel Buri was visiting Göttingen from September 2018 to February 2019 as a PhD student (under supervision of Torsten Hothorn, University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland).
- Gillian Heller was visiting Göttingen in November 2017 and May 2019. She is professor for Statistics at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
- Masha Nadifar was visiting Göttingen from February to October 2019 as a PhD student (under supervision of Hossein Baghishani, Shahrood University of Technology, Shahrood, Iran).
- Bruno de Sousa was visiting Göttingen in December 2017 and from December 2018 to March 2019. He is professor for Statistics at University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal.
- Lieke Voncken was visiting Göttingen from April to October 2018 as a PhD student (under supervision of Marieke Timmerman, University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands).

- Katharina Burmeister was providing statistical consulting to bachelor and master students from 2011 to 2013.
- Monika Carlsson was coordinator of the research training group 1644 Scaling Problems in Statistics in 2016.
- Jan Fahrenholz was responsible for the IT at StatOek from 2012 to 2015. He is now working at GWDG (Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen).
- Henriette Irmer was coordinator of the Centre for Statistics from 2014 to 2017 when she became coordinator of the International Max Planck Research School Genome Science - IMPRS-GS.
- Julia Meskauskas was coordinator of the Centre for Statistics from 2012 to 2014.
- Lisa Reinecke was coordinator of the research training group 1644 Scaling Problems in Statistics in 2016.
- Ellen Riefling was secretary of the statistics group until her retirement in 2012.
- Nathalie Scholl was coordinator of the Centre for Statistics in 2017.
