Seminar objectives:
This seminar will offer participants the opportunity to develop ideas and strategies for designing and preparing their English-language presentations, as well as the chance to practise public speaking in a supportive setting. Discussion will begin with the planning and formulating of presentations in English, with the aim of raising participants' awareness concerning what needs to be borne in mind in the English-language presentation culture.
Consideration will be given to all aspects of delivery, including exchange and communication with the audience. Overall, the intention is for doctoral researchers to refresh and build on their existing English language reserves and identify areas for improvement, while gaining confidence in this important and challenging area of activity.
