SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My current scientific interests center on cancer biology and neuroscience, particularly in understanding how complex cellular and molecular mechanisms give rise to disease. On the one hand, cancer is one of the most complex diseases to study, with its ever-changing tumor microenvironment making it an innovative field. On the other hand, neuroscience fascinates me because it seeks to explain how cellular and molecular processes give rise to complex functions such as cognition and behavior. In the future, I would like to specialize in either one of these fields and contribute to advances in precision medicine and targeted therapies.
