SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Every life is enabled by the interaction of tiny molecules. The molecule’s specific structure determines its distinct function leading to this complex and highly coordinated interplay. I want to understand how errors in this system can cause diseases and to find out how these errors can be corrected. In the future, I would like to learn more about the interaction of cells generating sophisticated functions like the memory and how cells of the microbiome can affect the whole organism.
