How to reach us

The City of Göttingen is located in the middle of Germany, set in the south of the state Lower Saxony. It is situated directly at the main north-south traffic axis. Thus, Göttingen is easily accessable by car via the motorway A7 and the federal roads B3 and B27 or by train and airplane. There are several direct train connections to Hamburg, Hannover, Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich.

The Faculty of Biology has four main locations in Göttingen: The Botany with the old botanical garden and the Dean's office in the proximity of the city center, the Zoology with the Zoological Museum, also near the city center, the Institute of Psychology neighboring the main Campus (ZHG) and the North-Campus which accommodates the Institute of Microbiology and Genetics, the Göttingen Center for Molecular Biosciences (GZMB), the European Neuroscience Institute Göttingen (ENI) and the German Primate Center (DPZ) alongside the Faculties of Chemistry, Physics, Informatics, Agricultural, Forests and Geo sciences.
