The life of a scientist at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is not different from other famous universities and research institutions in the world: hard work, dedication, learning and the future construction of new partnerships in research along with making new friends. When we, foreign researchers, have the opportunity to be at a centre of excellence, such as Göttingen, we show our best and take in the best of this centre. Because of this, it is very important for a researcher to have such an exchange, it is always an enriching experience for all parties involved in this process.
A very important factor for the newly arrived international scientists is the support from the university in dealing with bureaucratic matters like as visa, health insurance, etc. In this respect the Welcome Centre offered me great help in starting my new life in Göttingen.
