Göttingen Conference on Preferential Trade Agreements
05.05.2014
The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as well as the Canadian-European Trade Agreement (CETA) are just the more prominent examples of a more general tendency to establish preferential trade agreements. Prospects, challenges and concerns of these agreements as well as their potential impact on the international economic order and on the World Trade Organization in particular will be discussed at an international conference, which will take place in Göttingen on March 6-8 and is convened by the ESIL IG IEL interest group, the ILA study group on preferential trade agreements and organized by the Institute for International Law and European Law of Göttingen University.
