Training in electronics
We have been training apprentices in our electronics workshops since 1969. Until 1999, almost 30 apprentices learnt the profession of radio and television technician with us. Due to changes in the job description, we have been training industrial electronics technicians specialising in equipment technology since September 2003. The training programme also includes work placements in other workshops. The aim is to provide our apprentices with comprehensive knowledge in about 5-6 weeks.Training today
Electronics technician for devices and systems, duration of training 3 1/2 years, entry into force: 01 August 2003What's new?
This training occupation is a further development of the previous occupations of industrial electronics technician specialising in equipment technology and communications electronics technician. It is important to note that software is an integral part of devices and systems and IT skills are therefore essential for carrying out the work. Also new is working with English-language documents and communicating in English, as well as business management skills. Another new feature is the "extended final examination", i.e. no intermediate examination, but instead an early first part of the final examination, which counts for 40% of the final grade.Field of work

Typical fields of application are: information and communication technology devices medical devices automotive systems system components sensors actuators microsystems EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) measuring and testing technology. Electronics technicians for devices and systems carry out their work independently in compliance with the relevant regulations and safety requirements and coordinate their work with upstream and downstream areas. They often work as part of a team. They are qualified electricians as defined by the accident prevention regulations.Professional qualifications

This may involve analysing required functionalities and technical environmental conditions as well as designing circuits, producing samples and one-offs. To this end, they select mechanical, electrical and electronic components, adapt them and assemble them into systems, install and configure programs, test devices and create device documentation create layouts and production documents place and coordinate orders for the procurement of components, auxiliary materials and operating resources for the realisation of internal and external customer orders plan and control production processes, organise group work set up production and testing machines, program, optimise and maintain they are involved in the analysis and optimisation of production processes test components and devices and repair them also work with English-language documents and also communicate in English.Contents of the vocational training programme:
