Examination requirements:


  • Demonstrated ability to identify and structure complex financial issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop independent solutions to financial issues and communicate them effectively.






Registration:

Registration is required for participation. The registration deadline is 28 February (for the seminar in the summer semester). Please send your registration request by email to olaf.korn@wiwi.uni-goettingen.de. Places will be allocated in accordance with §10 of the Rahmenprüfungs- und -studienordnung für die Master-Studiengänge der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät. The main criteria are whether the seminar is a compulsory or elective course for the respective degree programme and which semester the students are in (priority for higher semesters). Due to the allocation procedure stipulated by the regulations, it is only possible to confirm whether students can be allocated a place in the seminar after the registration deadline.

Qualification objectives/skills:

After successful completion of the course students are able to

  • identify and refine complex and relevant financial research questions,

  • independently develop solutions to such research questions, place them in the context of previous research and communicate the solutions appropriately both orally and in writing.

  • essentialize solutions to research questions developed by others to their central aspects and comment on them critically.

  • contribute to a discussion initiated by presentations.






Seminar content:

The seminar focuses on developing solutions for comprehensive, complex financial problems. The exact content and topics may vary from semester to semester and
will be announced at the end of the previous semester.
