SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Molecular biology fascinates me by its many different fields reaching from microbiology to structural biology and epigenetics. The currently most interesting topics to me are the deregulations in cancer cells and the epigenetic mechanisms controlling gene expression. Through the program I aim to obtain more insights into the diverse field of molecular biology giving me the great opportunity to deepen my knowledge and explore new techniques. Ultimately, my goal as a researcher is to contribute to results, which help us to better understand human diseases.
