SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My scientific interest focuses on plant biology, especially on the fields of molecular and cellular plant biology and biotechnology. I believe that in a world as ours, it already has become and will become more important to study plants in basic science as well as applied science. Growing crops that are resistant to different, severe environmental cues is an obstacle we need to negotiate, as we are obligated to feed the increasing world population while dealing with climate change and its impact. However, my goal for completion of the M.Sc. is to acquire a widespread knowledge in molecular biology in general and get experience in fields that I am less familiar with yet. I am especially interested in broadening my expertise in protein-related work and structural biology.
