SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Through my past experiences in and outside the lab, I have gained a passion for researching the development of the brain because I believe this to be a critical period which lays the foundation for an individual’s life. I am curious to better understand neurodevelopment at the molecular level, how early life adverse experiences have an effect on this, and how this can differ between individuals. Overall, I hope to understand how research can be harnessed to improve nervous system health, especially at an early stage of development - I am inspired to continue in such translational research in the future!
