SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

What fascinates me most about the field of neuroscience is that our nervous system is what differentiates us as humans from other animals. Our consciousness and our ability to learn, to remember, and to be creative all stem from our unique brains. I am interested in basic research illuminating neural systems, their interactions with the body, and how they contribute to consciousness. To this end, I want to delve deeper into the field and find the most pressing questions to be answered.
