SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I believe we first need to understand the physiological mechanisms of the brain in order to cure diseases. Therefore, I am interested in exploring the brain by the integration of its different levels of complexity (from the interaction of molecules to the cellular macrocircuits and networks). That knowledge would ultimately drive us towards a better understanding of brain activity (cognition, memory formation and storage, data processing, neuroplasticity, affective responses) and light up our way to cope with neurological disorders.
