SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Molecular biology fascinates me by its many different topics from cell cycle regulation to vesicular transport mechanisms and epigenetic regulation. Two very interesting topics to me are the different functions of RNAs and the diverse deregulations in cells that lead to diseases. Through the program, I wish to deepen my knowledge in fundamental research and techniques to use those for a better understanding of general cellular mechanisms and try to apply them on different diseases.
