SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My main research interest is understanding the mechanisms of computation, learning, and self-organization of the brain in a computational framework. My physics background so far has focused on designing mathematical models for complex systems, which I intend to utilize for computational modeling of the brain's neuronal network, how information can process by this network, and how evolution has optimized its features. I also have experience studying electrical signals of the brain activity, for instance, neuronal synchronization in seizure generalization and the role of oscillations in visual attention.
