SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I have always been fascinated by how neurons store information and how they act as minimal computational units. My primary interest lies in understanding the multifaceted nature of synaptic plasticity and how it plays a role in learning and memory formation. I am particularly excited about studying the role that activity-dependent protein remodelling plays in regulating synaptic plasticity. My goal is to explore both computationally and experimentally the dynamic organization of neuronal and protein networks due to plasticity mechanisms. I also have a budding interest in hormonal influences on cognition and systems neuroscience.
