My scientific interests lie majorly in bioenergetics, metabolic pathways and networking, mechanism of protein transport through various organelles, protein turnover mechanisms and enzyme kinetics. I am interested in the highly orchestrated dynamics of protein folding and how certain breakdowns in this process lead to accumulation of misfolded proteins, known to cause various proteopathies. I am also looking forward to gain more knowledge about bioinformatics tools to study protein-protein and DNA-protein interactions which guide major biochemical processes inside a cell. Through this program I wish to unravel the various scientific mysteries in molecular biology and to make original contributions to the field of research.
