SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My interests range from genetics to protein structure determination. I find the study of genetic regulation – how and why genes are activated or repressed – and protein regulation at RNA level very stimulating. Lately I became also interested in the relationship between structural features and biological function. Within the structural biochemistry field I have a special interest in NMR and its applications to biological systems. In the program I hope to develop the multidisciplinary approach necessary to study complex biologic issues.
