SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My interests are in investigating the processes that underlie neuropathological diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, especially the epigenetic and genetic interactions that result in the biochemical and therefore physiological alterations that lead to disease development. Particularly, I'm interested in using this information on neuropathological processes to further the field of translational medicine and bridge the gap between the laboratoy and the clinic.
