SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in the diversity and complexity of sensory modalities. I would like to increase our understanding of the transduction mechanisms and the processing responsible for the uptake of relevant information from the environment. I am also interested in understanding the diversity and flexibility of synaptic conncections and how they may contribute differently to specific functionalities of the brain.
