SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My main field of interests is neurological disorders and mechanisms underlying them. Identifiying these mechanisms, no matter which subject, will surely reveal therapies to overcome such disorders. I am also highly interested in the regeneration of nervous systems and really enthusiastic about the future of stem cell research. Observing neurological disorders in cellular and genetic level to reveal the mechanisms would be my area of focus in the future. More specifically, I am also interested in the role of glial cells and their communication with neurons since they provide key elements for regeneration and protection of the nervous system.
